No matter what you want or how you think things should go, life is going to do whatever it wants. Sometimes, if you're patient enough, you will get your heart's desire. But more often than not, it is a cruel taskmaster. The decisions made by our parents/family are an integral part of who we are subconsciously and although we may not always know why we think the way we do, or act the way we do, the family tape is running in the background. Some will overcome what happened in the past, others will be paralyzed by it.
Is love ever a straight path? Maybe the more complicated a person is, the more complicated and painful the experience of love has to be in order to maintain the proper balance?
