No, I do not agree with Lowell's verdict. In the prison riot Bobby Williams had killed two people and not only held Wesley Carver hostage for many hours, but had tortured and permanently maimed him. Wesley was never able to play the fiddle again - the greatest pleasure he had in life. Playing the fiddle for him enabled Wes to release his emotions in song and was his greatest joy.
Yes, the riot had been several years ago, but many lives were ended and changed by Bobby Williams actions.
