Do you think that Andre strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with him, or did it happen naturally? Do you think her parents will come to accept him?

Do you think that Andre strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with him, or did it happen naturally? Do you feel that it was a surprise to them that it happened after all those years? Do you predict that Celestial's parents will come to accept Andre as her life partner? 

Andre was always there for Celestial in whatever way she wanted. I think he always wanted her to feel for him in the way he felt for her but it seemed like he waited for her to come to him. Surely, her dad would see his way to understanding this relationship, especially considering how he got together with her mom.

I think Andre strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with him. Andre just kept being there, constantly in the picture especially at times when Celestial was most emotionally vulnerable. He took advantage of her need for comfort and support. I think the parents will eventually accept the marriage when the grandchild is born. They will accept things for the child's sake.

I don't think Andre really strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with him. I think it was something that simply happened through the years. They grew up together and had known each other all their lives. When they were in college, he was the one who introduced Roy and Celestial. Andre had girlfriends and dated and didn't look at Celestial as a girlfriend. I think Andre and Celestial had always loved each other, but the nature of that love changed through the years. He was always there when she needed him and at some point they both realized that they were "in love", and wanted/needed to be together.

I agree with kdowney - I don't believe Andre strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with him. It was a natural occurrence and could be expected if you studied their past. They knew each other for years - they were friends - and true friendship is always the most solid basis for a strong and lasting relationship. As they both grew, they grew together. Their upbringing was a natural source of understanding and bound them together slowly. When they came together as more mature adults, Andre saw that Celestial still needed the support and care he had always shown her as a young friend - and while that support and care now needed to be more significant and serious, he was able and willing to follow through. It was a natural progression for him. Her parents love her and want the best for their daughter. Of course, in time they will come to sccept him.

I also agree with kdowney and susiej, Andre didn't strategize to get Celestial to fall in love with him, it was a natural occurrence. Celestial and Andre knew each other a long time and she needed the kind of attention Andre gave her when Roy was in prison. I think her parents will come to accept him because of their grandchild.

I agree with kdowney25. Celestial and Andre were always in love. Celestial had a deep down question from the very beginning with the thought of marriage with Roy. That marriage would in due course dissolve even if Roy hadn't gone to prison.

I don't feel as though Andre concocted and masterminded a plot to win Celestial over. He has always loved her for as long as he can remember. I'm not sure he even jumped at the chance when he had the opportunity. I believe it happened organically and her feelings grew for him through his consoling her in her grief. Maybe not romantically, but I believe Celestial has loved Andre in her own way as long as he's loved her. Love like that can often grow and change with time and circumstance.

I don't think that Andre strategized to get Celestial to fall in love with Him. I think Andre was always close to Celestial. He was always there for her, in good times and in bad. I recall that at the beginning when Celestial had that argument with Roy, that he left the room, Roy knew that Celestial was going to call Andre. So apparently Andre was her refuge ever since they grew up together. It was expected that when Roy was in prison, she ran to Andre for comfort and consolation. So she must have fallen in love with him during that process. Andre was always in love with her, it was a natural feeling. So after all these years, I don't think this took them as a surprise.

Once Andre and Celestial’s daughter arrives, I think Celestial’s parents will come to accept Andre in their lives.
