Which were Amory's mistakes and which were thrust upon her?

When she is looking for Blythe, Amory reflects on the mistakes she has made and the mistakes she feels were thrust upon her. What were her mistakes?

I think most of the mistakes Armory made were those others encouraged her to make - men were always telling her to do things and she just did them. The one time she really did what everyone told her not to do was when she went after her daughter, and that was the first time I understood her motives.

Amory's mistakes were mostly her own. In most cases she impulsively followed the directions of her males friends without stopping to think about the cost to herself.
