You have to assume that life will never be easy. Even if they find a location more tolerant of people's differences, it will never be easy. They will have to depend on each other wholly to continue a life. Prejudice doesn't go away, there will always be difficult days.

Nice to think they’d find a town more tolerant but they had a strong bond between them so they’ll be fine wherever they end up.

You would love to think that they lived" happily ever after" as in fairy tales. They probably had it better but would still have to cope with people's prejudices. Even their speech would be different and subject them to ridicule. The old saw " you can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl" is true.

I hope that Jackson and Cussy get out of Kentucky and away from Troublesome. Their life will always be hard,
but I think they were both strong individuals and would build a decent life where ever they ended up.

Cussy and Jackson will continue to live and thrive in the midst of hardship, as they have so far. Life will not be easy, but then it never has been easy for them.

I believe Cussy, Jackson and Honey would continue to lead, lives filled with love and togetherness. I would assume that they would also remain isolated due to the makeup of the family unit, which little understanding and empathy would be provided to them. Cussy would raise Honey to be as strong and independent as she is.

Like others, I hope that Cussy, Jackson, and Honey make a life for themselves somewhere else. I think Troublesome sadly goes on as it is and I hope the sheriff is other voted out or removed from office. I do know that everyone's lives will be upended in 1941 but of the country's entry into WWII after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
