What impact did her sister's ordeal have on Anna? Do you think she'll eventually be okay?

I agree with the comments above. Anna has a good head on her shoulders and she seems to be a young person with a strong sense of who she is and what her goals are. She didn't fall apart, despite her sister's situation, so I think that bodes well for the future.

Anna will recover and I do not believe she ever felt like she could change the situation her sister got herself in. She did not believe her sister did this crime but she might have felt Lily could get herself in a situation where she might commit a crime. Anna knew how to fend for herself and was very pragmatic, much more responsible than her sister.

Not sure. No one in that family was really OK because of the death of the first daughter. They were each affected by it in different ways. Anna was another character whom I did not get a full sense of. But I assume that the author was giving us these fractured pictures of the characters in imitation of how the media only pointed up certain aspects. The novel was a study in how difficult it is to ever know what went on in a murder, despite evidence and character motives, etc. and how difficult it is to really know another person.
