I think we can put the past behind us and move on . I do think some experiences make it very difficult to move on and leave the past behind. We should learn from our mistakes but it's important to apply those changes to our future.

I think we can put our past behind if we are able to truly forgive ourselves and others. It is hard to move on otherwise.

I think the two are not mutually exclusive. It is possible, and necessary in fact, to put our past behind us and live "forward" into a better future -- but we can't put something behind us by forgetting it, burying it, denying it. The greater danger lies in forgetting the past -- in making the same mistakes, not learning from the past.

I think we will always remember the past but it is possible to put it behind us and move on. We hopefully learn from the past and pull from past experiences that help us move forward. There are dangers in clinging to the past as this prevents us from growing in new ways, as well as experiencing life in new ways.

I think in order to keep moving forward we must put our past behind us. But we need to remember the past and to learn from it. Benita let the past destroy her.

I think one can learn from the past, being influenced by it without being captive to it -- and that is what has to happen in order to move forward effectively.

I do believe that we can put our past behind us and move on, but it can never be forgotten lest we let it happen again. We should always learn from our past and admit our mistakes. Clinging to the past is another matter. We must forgive ourselves and others or the future will forever be tarnished.
