Who do you think was Tates' father?

Who do you think was Tates' father. Was he someone from St. Jude? Maybe Clyde?

Really it could have been anyone, probably Clyde, but it really didn't matter, what mattered was that she was not Jack's, and yet he raised and loved her anyways.

The fact that Tate was not Jack's daughter was a total surprise to me. Usually when a fact such as that becomes known in a story, we can think back and realize there was indeed foreshadowing, but we missed it because it was so subtle. In this case, I have no idea at all. The foreshadowing was either too subtle that I couldn't find it looking back, or it was not there at all. Either way, I thought that fact came out of proverbial left field.

It had to be someone who could further Diane's plan to capture Jack. She would have used a pregnancy to increase her hold on Jack.

I don't know- but probably not any of the characters in this story. Since Clyde was dead in1955, I don't see how he could have been her father....

Not sure. I doubt it was anyone from St Jude. Probably someone Diane hooked up with when they returned to Hollywood to punish or hold on Jack. I agree that it was a surprise with no hints in the book.

I do not think it really matters. Tate might want to find out. I did feel somehow Tate did not belong to Jack. She was all her Mother and had nothing of Jack in her
