Star Wood Leigh is star struck in life
and love. A hasty secret marriage to rock 'n' roll bad boy Jimi Deed
triggers a chain of events that changes both of their lives. Together they
soar to the heights of stardom and explore the dark side of celebrity. As
their lives become more public, their secrets get even darker.
Comment: In this age of movie-star worship, it seems that fewer and fewer 'stars' are content to merely act when they can generate multiple and lucrative income streams from putting their name on a brand of clothing, perfume or whatever - so why not books? This appears to be what's happening here - Pamela Anderson has teamed up with ghostwriter Eric Shaw Quinn to produce a line of heavy breathing, fast reading novels - Star last year, and Star Struck this year. The upside is that at least they don't appear to be taking themselves too seriously - according to Anderson's biography, the authors are "very proud of Star, their first work together; but a little disappointed that they could spend this much time together and not be linked romantically in the tabloids!"
