this book suprised me
I read this book in school. I honestly thought it was amazing and it even kept me wanting to read which I don't even like reading. This book made me start thinking about going into the wild to see how i would do living off the land.

THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!! :
Well I'm not really a book loving person. By that I mean to say that I don't really like to read books because of the loss of interest in the reading. But this book was totally different. It was something I have never read. This book make you wonder what happens next... It takes your breath and leaves you guessing.. what happens next. I loved this book so much but the lack of money I can't buy one. I would recommend this book to all my friends and to everybody who like to know what happens if you try to take nature head on. I give it 2 thumbs up...! :)

“HAPPINESS ONLY REAL WHEN SHARED.”
I've seen the movie and honestly, at first I've been curious with what Cris was up to, why did he do such things. i deliberately went to a book store to find the book and read it. There's a line he wrote on a book he was reading that attracts me:

“HAPPINESS ONLY REAL WHEN SHARED.”

I'm no loner, or whatever people thought negatively about him, and the phrase was rather obvious. But this phrase had been written with feeling and deep contemplation. That might be the reason why it struck me so much. It is so hard to explain, but though the book was vague, I like it. I like Cris' point of view in life in some way.

A must for outdoor lovers axnd parents of teens
Having visited Alaska, camped and climbed with my family, and worked with teens for many years, I found this book to be riveting. I understood how heart-wrenching the experience was for the parents; yet, Chris' need to explore independently and be true to himself.

A great book to be loved
The book In to the wild radiates excitement and a thrill that will blow your seat away. The cover screams out that the book will amaze the life out of the reader. The reviews from several talented critics increased the excitement that any reader could possibly engage in. The central character Christopher Johnson McCandless a daredevil of a new breed, engages Mother Nature in an effort to gain some excitement. In this adventure of a book, Christopher goes into the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. His life changes for ever, for he is now longer what he used to be, for he is no more. He is trashed, beaten and destroyed by the force of nature.
