Good Beach book
Here you have all the ingredients for a good book to read on vacations: an island full of artifacts, the pot hunters, the Confederacy's gold, the determined archaeologist. Not a Pulitzer prize just a nice read.

I Found Findings To Be
A good read. It's the fourth in Mary Anna Evans's Faye Longchamp mystery series. I'm not familiar with the author or the series, so I read the book with no strong feelings for characters and their histories. I can't say I came away with any either.

The story was entertaining while I was reading it, but I don't feel the need to search for previous or future books involving Faye Longchamp and her circle of friends. Perhaps I would feel differently had I read the 3 previous works, but I think books should be able to stand on their own.

I found Findings to be a quick, average read.

Island setting provides great backdrop
Findings is the fourth in a series featuring Faye Longchamp and Joe, her Native American Assistant/Friend. Faye, whose ancestors had been slaves, owns (with some difficulty) a family home on an island off the Florida Panhandle coast. All the characters both friend and foe are fully dimensional. Entangled in the story are letters written during the Civil War which set off a murderous treasure hunt. I enjoyed the story which ends on a very dramatic note, but most interesting was the island setting. I certainly will purchase the first three titles.
