A thriller and a great mystery. Best book I've read in a long time

Slow start, but John Grisham delivers as usual. Great plot, great characters, could not put the book down.

At first I thought this novel was going to be just another required reading book for my English class. Turns out that it was actually great reading. I really could not put it down! It had me at the edge of my seat and I usually only get like that with movies. The Summons has inspired me to read some of his earlier novels.

I liked the book because John Grisham always makes his main characters have a terrible but exciting day. Even though the first 100 pages were not that exciting it was still an exciting book none the less.

The summons moved slowly through the mind of Ray Atlee, through his paronoia and the new development of his new found life. Grisham takes us great to through the hearth of the south and shows us that the end its not as predictable as we thought. Slow pace but outwits the most interested reader.

I found the begining of the book really slow for at least the first 100 pages or more then in the middle it started to pick up and it got really strong. It started to fade a bit but I thought it had a pretty strong finish

i agree with most of the other comments..it was very good until the ending...it kind of dangled it in front of you for a while and ripped it away at the last second....disappointed in the ending

My least favorite Grisham book. While it kept me interested I thought the ending was weak.
