I think who ever writes bad things about this book is very stupid because this book is one of the best books I have ever read. I HATE reading, but when I went over this in the library I was like WOW. I am reading Walk Two Moons right now and it is the best book I have ever read. I would read this for fun and as I stated before I HATE READING. If you are just going over this website for fun and happen to be reading my column I recommend this book

Well to tell you guys the truth I thought it was a bit boring, confusing, and had no main idea. I do like the author though because I read her other book called ' Walk To moons' a very geed story, it makes you think about it. I recommend that book way more.

I know to many people that have read this book, feel like it has no end, the characters aren't well described, or it was very boring. And I understand what they are saying. But most of the books kids our age read are authors who state what they want the readers to think of a character's personality or something. I know I love those books the most because they make it easier to understand, fun, but really the story flies away from my brain once I shut that book close because, well, they are not allowing people to think for themselves. Have any of you read The Wrinkle In Time? Well, you know how this author writes beautifully, in my opinion, and at the same time describes her characters come to life. We have to infer what is going on in her story. Same with The Wanderer. I find the Wanderer very well written because the author can really describe the characters because it's great how we can form some personality to each character in our imaginations. I don't think many authors can really pull that off. I love Sharon Creech's style of writing because it is unique while refreshing.

I did not like this book at all. I think it’s a waste of time to read it. I don’t know why anybody would like this book. It’s a story about a 13-year-old girl who was trying to find her grandfather. She has to, with her uncles and cousins, sail to England to find him. It seems to me that the story was very boring and it just went on and on and it did not have a point. It seemed that the characters where not fully introduced. You don’t now, and will never learn, about the characters appearance or there personality. The chapters are told by ether Cody or Sophie. I would of let all the characters have a paragraphs. Overall I would rate this book a 1 out of 5.

Personally, I did not enjoy this book. I found myself forcing myself to read this 1/3 of the way through. I like books about the sea, but this book was just slow moving and not my type. I didn’t like how the book was worded. It was hard to understand. Also, I despised how the chapters would switch from character to character. If I would have wrote the book like that, I would have had a chapter for each character, not just Sophie and Cody. If you like books about a girl trying to get through hard life times, and family issues then I suggest this book for you. I just don’t enjoy this book. The characters were not described, and the scenes were not the best choice. Also, I felt like the book went on and on. There was no end. When it got to the ending, it just ended with no emotional feeling. The book had no purpose. Don’t read this book. Ever. You will be bored. I rate this Book a one not a two and not a five, a one. >=(

Sophie feels free against the waves, sailing in the ocean. A number of mini adventures happen on the way to Bompie. Sophie is actually an orphan, and a bit touchy about the subject.

Cody is fooling around a lot, and annoys everyone. But Sophie seems to understand him, and is rarely annoyed by his foolish actions. She seems to get along with Cody and Dock better than anyone else.

They stop at a number of places during the trip, and eventually, Sophie finds out that Uncle Dock is looking for his first love.

It's beautifully told. I especially love the storm bit. Sophie kept having this nightmare about a BIG, BLACK wave towering over her and sweeping her into the ocean forever. Then it seems to be actually happen as a big, WHITE wave, even larger, injures them all. She sees Uncle Stew, Uncle Mo, cousin Brian, and knows where Dock is, but she's really worried because she can't find Cody ANYWHERE.

It's really something.

This book is definitely not my top favorite but it is one of them. Everyone seems to have their own story but they all entertwine with each other in a way that makes the story beautiful. The aspects of nature she uses in the story only adds to the content of it. I would recommend this to people who just want a book to calm themselves.

I rate this book a 2 because it wasn't anything that i would have hoped it to be like! I mean i like nature and the sea and all, and thats why I read the book, but when I got to about chapter 10 I was then trying to force myself to read the book. It just wasn't something that really caught my attention at ALL! The only reason it gets one point higher than POOR is because, it was about the sea and the sea is a really beatiful thing to write about! And that ladies and gentleman is why I rated this book a 2!
