Author Dick Francis dies aged 89

Bestselling author Dick Francis died on February 14, 2010, at his home in Grand Cayman. He was the bestselling author of 42 crime novels, selling more than 60 million copies in 35 languages. His writing stemmed from a successful earlier career as a National Hunt jockey, winning over 350 races and being honoured as Champion Jockey for the 1953/4 season.
