The London Times reports on Shakespeare and Company, an English language bookstore in Paris, staffed by fresh-faced and optimistic twenty-somethings from around the world who, in return for a night's sleep in one of the 11 beds hidden in the bookshop itself, work in the shop for a few hours a day and undertake to read a book a day.
