The six titles on the 2012 Booker Shortlist have been announced:

Tan Twan Eng, The Garden of Evening Mists
Deborah Levy, Swimming Home (not yet available in US)
Hilary Mantel, Bring up the Bodies
Alison Moore, The Lighthouse (not yet available in US)
Will Self, Umbrella (publishing in Jan 2013 in US)
Jeet Thayil, Narcopolis

The winner of the 2012 prize will be announced at a dinner at London's Guildhall on Tuesday 16 October
