The winners of the first ever Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and Nonfiction were announced at the American Library Association annual conference in Anaheim yesterday. The winners are The Forgotten Waltz by Anne Enright and Catherine The Great by Robert Massie.
