Salvage the Bones wins National Book Award for Fiction

Jesmyn Ward's Salvage the Bones has won the National Book Award for fiction. Stephen Greenblatt's The Swerve won for nonfiction. The poetry prize went to Nikki Finney's Head Off & Split and Thanhhai Lai's Inside Out & Back Again won for young people's literature.
