John Wiley & Sons sues BitTorrent users

John Wiley and Sons, one of the world’s largest book publishers, has sued 27 BitTorrent users at a federal court in New York claiming that the defendants have shared copies of its "For Dummies" books without permission. Although over 200,000 people have been sued in the USA for sharing copyrighted works via BitTorrent, this is the first suit brought by a publisher. Previous lawsuits have all been brought by independent and adult film studios.
