Harry Potter series to be available as Google eBooks

Jul 21 2011

A few weeks ago it was announced that the Harry Potter series would be available on ebook but only through J.K. Rowling's new site, Pottermore. Now, according to Inside Google Books, the series will also be available via the open Google eBooks platform, which means it will available to buy from a variety of locations (including many independent booksellers), and can be downloaded to most reading devices. The exception being Amazon's Kindle though, according to an Amazon spokesperson talking to TechCrunch, the company is "working closely with Pottermore to make sure Kindle customers will be able to buy and read J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books."
