News Corp debut a daily newspaper for the iPad

Murdoch's News Corporation today announced a new newspaper exclusively for the iPad. "The Daily" is available as a downloadable app, available exclusively through the iTunes store, for a weekly subscription of 99 cents.

"Our target audience is the 15 million Americans expected to own iPads in the next year," said Mr Murdoch, who also stated that News Corp has hired about 100 journalists to work on the "The Daily".
