New Bridget Jones book on the way, plus musical & movie

Nov 12 2012

Author Helen Fielding announced on U.K. radio today that the perennially lovelorn Bridget Jones will return for a third installment.

"The new novel is set in present-day London, with an entirely new scenario for Bridget," Fielding said on the show Women's Hour Friday. "If people laugh as much reading it as I am while writing it then we’ll all be very happy."

Apparently, a third movie has been in the works for some time, so presumably not based on the yet to be published book; and a musical is also in development.
