Hilary Mantel has won the 2012 Man Booker Prize for her historical novel, Bring Up the Bodies. This is the second time Ms Mandel has won the prize, after winning with Wolf Hall in 2009. It is the first time the Committee has awarded the prize to a sequel, and the first time that a woman has won twice.
