Harry Potter fans have been reacting with excitement to a mysterious website launched by J K Rowling.
Pottermore.com features a pink holding page with the description "coming soon" and Rowling's signature underneath. A spokesman for J K Rowling confirms that "It is not another Harry Potter book".
Update: 6/24: Pottermore.com will be used to sell Harry Potter e-books (the first time the series will be available electronically). The site will also include additional content related to the series (at least 18,000 words) but this will not be in the form of a new book but rather additional details to the existing characters, places and objects - "with more to come." The site will launch in part on July 31. Many booksellers have expressed disappointment that they won't be able to sell the ebook versions.
