Prospero Regained is the final book in L. Jagi Lamplighter's Prospero's Daughter trilogy. The entire series is an impressive feat of fantasy writing that challenges the accomplishments of such bestsellers as China Mieville, Philip Pullman, and J. R. R. Tolkien. Possibly most wonderful of all, the author is female as is the main character. Miranda Prospero is as tough, resourceful, and brave as she is beautiful, spiritual, and romantic.

She is more than 400 years old, thanks to the magical Water of Life that keeps the entire Prospero family in a state of near immortality. She is the CEO of Prospero, Inc., a family business that uses magic for the good of mankind, but she is also a motherless daughter torn between two lovers and incapable of disobeying her father. Beyond the Book
L.Jagi Lamplighter L. Jagi Lamplighter spent 15 years writing, re-writing, and revising her Prospero's Daughter trilogy before the first volume was published in 2009. In an article entitled " A Writer's Odyssey," she describes her journey from hopeful writer to published author. Another article, " All About the Wonder," explains why Ms. Lamplighter writes fantasy. She explains:

Fantasy can do anything, go anywhere, occur in any milieu. It can take place in your back yard, in the ancient past, on the moon, in another dimension - the nature and laws of which can be anything you imagine....
