Probably nothing, Marlene took no responseability for her involvement in the matter.

Nothing. Marlene lived in her own version of reality. Her denial of the truth was epic and she would never give up her hatred of Noa. Besides, I think she knew all along what had really happened and that Noa was on death row because of her.

Do we actually know that Marlene has read the manuscript? It seemed to me that she was going to bury it without reading it, hence the whole thing with the tennis bracelet.

I agree with eileenp. I got the impression that Marlene was going to bury the manuscript without reading it. If she read it, it would be harder to deny her own role in her daughter's death. If she buried it unread, she could continue to insist on her own version of the truth without having to confront Noa's version.

Marlene lives in Marlene's world. She is convinced she had a wonderful relationship with her daughter. It was obvious from the picture of the two of them, they did not. she would consider the manuscript a lie.

I gathered that Marlene was going to bury the information in the plot next to Sarah's grave. I think she was afraid of what she would find in it, so she preferred to ignore it. I don't get the symbolism of her wearing the bracelet, though. Was she wearing it because she saw it as a symbol of her exoneration in the whole affair?

I thought that she wore the bracelet to spite Noa, and as a symbol that she had won. (Although what she won, I'm not sure.)

Nothing. She got what she wanted from Noa's letters to Oliver, so there was no reason for her to pursue the issue any further.

All of the above. There was absolutely nothing noble about Marlene. She was a selfish, vindictive woman whose spite inflicted everyone close to her, including her daughter. Her treatment of Ollie showed her true character. There is no way she would ever admit any portion of her own guilt and she certainly had no intention of vindicating Noa.

Marlene wanted no part of the truth. She wanted revenge and with it a way of extricating herself from any guilt.

President Obama's presidency has been a sobering look into the effects of racism, both subtle and overt. He has never been given a chance to use his influence for the good of the country. The do-nothing Congress has spent all their efforts and energy to prevent him from governing. Racism is alive and well in this country and it sickens me. By the way, I am white, and I thank God my parents didn't raise me to judge a person by the color of their skin.

I agree with GinH. Marlene only wanted revenge and denied her part in Sarah's death. She felt the diamond
bracelet was a reward!

I agree that Marlene isn't going to do anything differently. She'll continue living in bitterness, convinced of her own innocence. I don't think she read Noa's papers.
