Article and picture of author and mother in USA Today

I saw and read the article in today's USA Today about the End of Life Bookclub. There is a picture of Will and his mother with that article. I am wondering if now having a face to go with the names and the subjects of this book will alter how I perceive them. Both Will and Mary Anne are not exactly how I pictured them in my head, although not terribly far off.

Just wondering if anyone else has pictured them differently and whether or not that will alter your reading of this book, or your recollection of this book?

Thanks to both of you for posting this! I think I pictured Mary Anne pretty well. I can't say that I really formed a picture of Will; I think he's kind of cute.

Thank you for the link and posting this info! The mother looked so much younger than I imagined. I did not have much of a mental image of Will except for his busy life made me expect someone fairly trim. Seeing the "real people" did not change how I feel about the book. If anything, a wave of sadness washed over me for all of us whose mothers are gone. (sniffle...sniffle). I think i would have liked Will's mom. I do love the fact that she left instructions for the use of her frequent flyer miles!!

Thanks for the post of the article and picture that appeared in USA Today. It's always fun for me to see the "real thing" after forming a mental picture while reading. What an amazing mother-son duo!

dorothyt, I was debating on whether to comment on Will's good looks - if it was appropriate or not - and since you did I feel free to say I think he's adorable!

;-p
