From Psycho to Sound of Music

Jonah says that "time teaches us that the musical score of life oscillates between that of Psycho to Sound of Music . What are some events in Jonah's life that illustrate the two extremes? Do you, the reader, have some personal experiences that fit this analysis from page 140 ?

RE: From Psycho to Sound of Music

The two obvious events are the bombing and the piano at the community center. Another could be the differences between the mysterious woman and Jonah's friend, Mr. Yoshioka. If we have lived for any time at all, we have experienced Psycho and, hopefully, Sound of Music. One helps us appreciate the other. Life would be boring with only one aspect. All we can do is hope for a balance between these two extremes.

RE: From Psycho to Sound of Music

Every life has a story. Sometimes people do not experience the Psycho times until later in life, and then for others, childhood is when there are horrible experiences. No life, however, is all smooth sailing.
