Biography
Dick Lehr was educated at the The Gunnery School, Washington. From here he went to Harvard, where he received a BA in 1976. He studied law at the University of Connecticut School
of Law.
Dick is a professional jounalist. He started his career at the The Old Lyme Gazette (Connecticut). In 1979 he joined the The Hartford Courant, and in 1985 moved to the The Boston Globe, where he is the ; legal affairs reporter, Spotlight Team reporter, and feature writer.
Dick's books include: Black
Mass: The Irish Mob, the FBI, and a Devil’s Deal and The Underboss: The Rise and Fall of a Mafia Family, both co-authored
with Gerard O’Neill. He has won numerous awards during his career:
