Timothy Basil Ering has illustrated numerous books for children, most notably The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo, which won the Newbery Award and was made into an animated film. He is both author and illustrator of Necks Out for Adventure! and The Story of Frog Belly Rat Bone, which has been adapted for the stage.
Ering studied illustration and fine art at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He is inspired by his adventures on, around, and in the ocean. While Timothy is busy creating art and stories for books, he is also busy painting images of fish, seascapes, and landscapes redolent with evidence of his beloved life as a Cape Codder.
