Cheryl Jarvis Biography

Cheryl Jarvis is a freelance journalist whose books have been published in 19 countries and translated into 16 languages. The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment that Transformed Their Lives was a New York Times bestseller. The Marriage Sabbatical: The Journey That Brings You Home sparked international debate. Her articles and essays have appeared in a wide range of publications, including the Chicago Tribune, the Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, MORE, Healthy Woman, Nation's Business, Reader's Digest, and Publishers Weekly. Her eclectic career includes stints as a magazine editor, newspaper features editor, TV producer, and fulltime mom.

A member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, she has taught writing at numerous colleges, including Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
