Gennifer Choldenko Biography
Gennifer Choldenko is the author of the Newbery Honor winner and New York Times bestseller, Al Capone Does My Shirts, and its sequel, Al Capone Shines My Shoes, and several other widely-acclaimed novels and picture books for children. The youngest of four children, she was born in Santa Monica, California and now lives in the San Francisco Bay area. She graduated from Brandeis University and attended the Rhode Island School of Design. She previously worked at an advertising agency. She has two children, Ian and Kai and a white German Shepherd.
