Katherine Tyler's cross-country train trip is unexpectedly derailed when she is kidnapped by an unscrupulous band of outlaws. Her worried father calls out the Texas Rangers, but only a cowboy named T. C. Castle knows the bend of south Texas well enough to catch the ringleader who's responsible. After freeing Katherine, T. C. spirits her away to his remote ranch, where he lives with his 5-year-old handicapped daughter Emily. As their attraction blossoms and with the kidnappers closing in, T.
