Great escapist entertainment
This is the first Lee Child book I have read and I was totally pulled into the story from the very first page. Jack Reacher is such an unconventional hero and I thought "I must find out more about him." I raced through this book and couldn't put it down until I finished. Good plot, tightly written and I ended up wanting to read more by this author! Not sure it would be a candidate for book club discussions, but it sure was a fun read and I learned something.

Great thriller
"Gone Tomorrow" by Lee Child is one of the finest thrillers I've read. Jack Reacher is an ex-army officer who finds himself involved in a tangled mess when he confronts a possible suicide bomber on a New York subway. Like a number of characters in the book, the possible suicide bomber is not what she initially appears to be. The book has enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing while continually moving at a frantic pace.

More of Jack Reacher, Please!
I became a fan of Lee Child's "Reacher" novels over the summer, so I was so glad to get a copy of "Gone Tomorrow"! I'm usually a slow reader but this one flew by. Just when you think you've got it figured out and you think you know who the "bad guy/gal" is, Mr. Child throws in another twist. Jack Reacher is a hero for men and women alike, with toughness and tenderness interwoven to create a truly complex character. I recently picked up the latest Reacher novel, "61 Hours" from the library but had to put that one aside to read "Gone Tomorrow" and I'm glad I did. Each novel shows more layers to Reacher; I can't wait to read the next one!

Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child
This book should come with the warning,"Don't start reading unless you have time to read it without stopping", because once you start you can't turn the pages fast enough. This is the first book by Lee Child that I have read, and it certainly won't be the last. It has very believable characters, and so many twist and turns that as soon as you think you have figured out what will happen next you are proven wrong. It will also frighten you when you read about how our privacy and citizen rights can be violated in the name of National Security. A great read!

Action Packed Adventure
This is an absorbing adventure that made me anxious to read the next chapter. Even though the actions of the villains are horrific, they are believable. This is the first book I have read by the author but I will read more of his work now that I have been introduced to "Reacher".
I would warn the queasy and faint of heart to avoid reading this novel. The torture scenes are extremely graphic.

I AM HOOKED
I am hooked. Thank you Lee Child for introducing me to Jack Reacher. What an interesting and exciting character. I loved the book "Gone Tomorrow". I found the novel to be a page turner with many surprises and thrilling action. I was pulled into the story from the very first chapter. The story revolves around Jack Reacher riding in a subway car in Manhattan late at night along with a woman he singles out because she matched all the behavioral indicators of a suicide bomber. As the plot thickened with twists and turns and old secrets the Government and a prominent politician want suppressed and some Afghan Taliban/Al Qaeda terrorists wanted for their own purposes, I could not put the book down. I recommend this book and I look forward to reading some more of Jack Reacher adventures.

Another Winner from Lee Child
I have read and enjoyed most of Lee Child’s books. This is one of his best, in my opinion. The theme is contemporary and the plot extremely gripping. Be forewarned that the book is very violent. Other than that, it is a great read.
