Charm City Mystery Keeps You Guessing
Found Laura Lippman's latest mystery engrossing and finished it in one rainy fall afternoon! Ms. Lippman succeeds in her approach to provide a modern twist on "Rear Window" placing Tess Monaghan, private investigator, in the Jimmy Stewart role; obsessed with solving a "crime" they've witnessed while being confined to their home. The mystery at the center of the novel unfolds at a nice pace and the reader is treated to a number of pleasant scenarios of those assisting Tess in her investigation. I'm an avid reader of mysteries and this one kept me guessing until the very end. I am going out now to purchase her first Tess Monaghan novel, "Baltimore Blues". Enjoy!

Rear Window
This book was short and very enjoyable. it was filled with charismatic characters who I didn't want to leave. The story is familiar with some surprising twists but the people kept you moving forward.

the girl with the Green Raincoat
This is a thoroughly enjoyable novella with a "RearWindow" twist. The character development in Tess Monaghan from a reluctant expectant mother to a loving caring one is an interesting addition to the "Bluebeard" mystery. I am looking forward to reading more of Tess, Crow and their daughter and how their lives have changed. Here's hoping she keeps on detecting!

Fun Read.
I haven't read anything by Laura Lippman before but now I am a fan. The Girl in the Green Raincoat is a fun read. It is full of wonderful characters, and an unusual plot with the pregnant woman being able to solve the mystery from her spot in the sunporch. I loved this book and it will be a great summer read for my book group.

The Girl in the Green Raincoat
This was the first Laura Lippman story I ever read, but it won't be the last; it captured my attention from the very first page and I was hooked until the very last page. It was a definite page-turner that I couldn't put down. The author is quite talented and it is evident through all the awards she has won. I highly recommend this novella.

The Girl in the Green Raincoat
I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read and not a lot of pages. I would recommend it to everyone who enjoyed Rear Window, the book and the movie, as it is written in the same style; full of mystery, intrigue and imagination. The Main character Tess has some scary moments in her personal life as a result of her investigating but everything turns out ok for her.

My first Tess Monaghan book
I had never read any Laura Lippman books before and now I wonder why. I loved this book! I was intrigued when I read the description and it did not disappoint. Very well written. As soon as I hit "Submit" I am going to order another Monaghan book!
